Choose how bookmarks open from the private manager
The private bookmark manager has account-level link behavior settings. These settings affect the signed-in app experience and are separate from public URL open behavior.
Default Open Option
Sets whether bookmark URLs open in the current tab or a new tab by default.
Auto-New-Tab Bookmark
Opens a bookmark directly from the list in a new tab instead of requiring the bookmark detail view first.
Media Embeds
Allows playable media in the bookmark panel. See Proxy parsing and media embeds for provider, privacy, and E2EE behavior.
Safeguards
Require confirmation for higher-risk actions
Safeguards add confirmation steps before actions that are easy to trigger accidentally or hard to undo.
Safeguard Folders
Requires text confirmation when deleting a folder that is not empty.
Multi-Select
Requires text confirmation before deleting items through multi-select.
Confirm move
Requires confirmation before moving a bookmark.
Notifications and privacy
Reminders and proxy scraping are explicit options
Reminders enable timed bookmark notifications. Proxy Scraping allows WebCull servers to visit bookmark URLs to fetch titles, icons, and descriptions. See Proxy parsing and media embeds for the full parsing behavior, user controls, and E2EE differences.
