Now encryption of a bookmark on one device is encrypted across all devices. Devices lacking the current encryption key are unable to decrypt newly encrypted bookmarks. When bookmarks are being encrypted on any device, all other devices must enter the new encryption password and wait for the completion of the encryption process. This is a big step forward in our E2EE feature and brings us very close to the launch.

We need to use a different approach to override the new tab because Chrome does not have an option to control the new tab override option unlike Firefox. Chrome also has confusing messaging about the new tab override option when its installed because it appears if you choose to disable the new tab override, you are actually disabling the entire extension, not just the new tab override feature.
