Selecting items

Toggle Individual Items Or Select A Range

Multi-select works with bookmarks and folders. Use the individual-item shortcut to build a precise selection, or use the range shortcut to select consecutive items in one folder list. The same shortcuts work with a click or with Enter when an item has keyboard focus.

Windows: one item

Alt+Click or Alt+Enter adds or removes one item without replacing the rest of the selection.

Mac: one item

Option+Click or Option+Enter adds or removes one item without replacing the rest of the selection.

Windows and Mac: range

Shift+Click or Shift+Enter sets the first range point, then selects through the next item you use the shortcut on in the same folder list.

Multiple folders

Keep Selecting As You Work Across Folders

A multi-select set is not limited to one folder. Select items in one folder, open or move to another folder, and continue adding bookmarks or folders. The multi-select widget keeps a running count of the complete selection.

Range boundary

A Shift range stays inside one folder list. To add items from another folder, use Alt on Windows or Option on Mac with Click or Enter.

Actions

Move, Copy, Delete, Or Close The Selection

The multi-select widget appears after the first item is selected. Its count and actions apply to the whole selection, including items selected from different folders.

Move

Choose Move, then place the selected items before or after another item or inside a folder. Dragging any selected item also starts Move.

Copy

Choose Copy, then place copies before or after another item or inside a folder. The original items stay where they are.

eliminar

Choose Delete, or use Delete on Windows. On a compact Mac keyboard, use Fn+Delete to send Forward Delete.

Choose Close to clear every selected item and close the widget.

Esc

Escape clears the selection and closes the widget. If Move or Copy placement is active, Escape cancels only that placement mode and keeps the items selected.

Salvaguardas

Selection Stays Temporary And Respects Access Rules

The selected set is temporary and is not saved as bookmark data. Multi-select does not bypass move, delete, public URL write access, or kiosk editing restrictions. A read-only public URL remains read-only.

Delete confirmation

Settings can require typing a confirmation before a multi-select deletion. Moving a folder inside itself is also blocked so its contents cannot be placed inside their own descendant.
